The Gift of Time Cookbook

We are proud to highlight "The Gift of Time" Cookbook with today's post! We've mentioned this amazing time-saver in the past, but had to do a special highlight considering the amazing deal they've got going on right now. Here's a screenshot directly from the site with their "can't pass up" discount:
This cookbook has been a great time-saver and is packed full of recipes that everyone in the family enjoys. One of our family faves is the Stromboli, which was just highlighted on their Facebook page.
Here's the recipe, which you'll find on Page 178 of "The Gift of Time Cookbook". (The Stromboli recipe is included throughout the year with the weekly menus provided):
What you'll need:
  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough
  • 2 T. oil
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 4 oz. pkg. sliced pepperoni
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 1 T. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz. pkg. shredded mozzarella cheese
Brown sausage; drain. Roll out bread dough into a 12x15 inch rectangle and set aside. After separating the eggs, combine the egg yolks with the oil, oregano, parsley, garlic powder, and a dash of pepper. Spread the mixture over the dough. Arrange sausage, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese on top, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Roll up and place seam-side down on a baking sheet. With the egg whites you'd set aside earlier, add a pinch of oregano and parsley and brush on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
Be prepared for your family to ask for seconds. My oldest son always wants to have leftovers to take for his school lunch, so I usually try to make enough to make sure he'll be able to do that. This cookbook is loaded with a ton of great recipes. Not only that, but you'll save so much time with the weekly grocery lists and knowing ahead of time what you'll need to get. Plus, the back of the book has a monthly breakdown of some fun ideas that you and your children can enjoy together.

Be sure to check out more about this book on book's site and get in on this great deal. Christmas isn't too far off and you can go ahead and stock up to give your friends and family the best gift, "The Gift of Time".  If you'd like to order yours now, click here.

Mary & Martha...the new Blessings Unlimited

Hi there! If you're a frequent visitor of MomSimplified, you may recall my excitement several months back after joining Blessings Unlimited as a consultant. As the months have rolled on, the excitement has continued and over the weekend, it has reached a new height.

The company name (Blessings Unlimited) really grabbed my attention several years back and made me want to dig in more to find out what this company (that obviously placed God in the center) stood for. Although I thought before signing up, I truly wouldn't find out exactly what the name truly meant before becoming a consultant. The company truly has been a blessing. Ask anyone that knows me, I'm far off from any type of a "saleswoman" and the thought of sales alone terrifies me. I quickly discovered that the products really sold themselves and that there were many women looking to fill their homes and lives with pieces that would reflect their love for the Lord.

Each year, Blessings Unlimited holds an annual conference, which I was unable to attend (insert sad face). As much of a bummer it was that I was unable to attend, the company did a GREAT job at making me feel a part as I received some exciting news on Saturday...Blessings Unlimited will continue to bless so many of the consultants, hostesses, customers, and people, but just with a new name...
Mary & Martha truly exemplifies what so many of us struggle to reach in life...BALANCE, the balance of putting Christ first in our life, but assuring that we put our family next. The daily struggles in life can pull us so many different directions and take our focus off of where we need to be. I truly believe that Mary & Martha will be a blessing (no pun intended) to all and I'm excited to begin this journey.

Here's several of the exciting new items that will be released and available for purchase on August 1st:

With all of the excitement, I would LOVE to tell you more about this amazing opportunity (or just answer any questions you may have). Check out the update to the awesome package new consultants receive when signing up:

The Gathering Essentials Kit is your business in a box. For $99 (plus tax & shipping) you get everything you need to start your business. Amazing products (shown above), business supplies, marketing materials, social media plans, and Home office support.
For now, you can continue to visit my site at or you can visit the site to Mary & Martha at  I'll keep this post updated with any future changes to my personal website. Looking forward to "Meaning Entertaining...Made Simple".

Train Table Update

A couple of years ago all that my oldest son wanted for Christmas was a train table. We searched and searched until we found one that we knew he'd absolutely love. That Christmas morning and many more days to follow, those train tracks and trains were heard chugging from all around the house.  The boys would love to set up the track into different routes and have fun playing for hours.

As this summer began, I started to notice that the train table had been abandoned for quite some time. I couldn't help but wonder if it was out of boredom or if it was just the fact that maybe my oldest had outgrown the fun of a train table (which I was hoping was not the case...watching your kids outgrow things is always a little bittersweet).

After giving them some hints about the trains really missing them and there still being a lack of play on it, I decided that I would flip the top over and have the kids use it as a table for whatever they'd like. I let them know that I'd be happy to turn it back over when they were ready to play with the trains again. After turning it over, I noticed that they would run their play cars back and forth on that table over and over. Why they wouldn't do it when it was on the train side, I have NO idea.

The boys had some fun with their cars on the table and it got me to thinking that it wouldn't be too hard to make them their own "city". We got out the paint and got right to work. The boys helped by letting me know what they wanted in their city and what they wanted to name it. They've definitely already worn some tracks on the back side now too as they've been loving driving their cars around their own city! Here's how it turned out:

Now I'm enjoying the sounds of cars racing around the track and still hoping that they'll be ready to go back and play with the trains soon too.

Fun Uses for a Little Bit of Everything...

Over the years, between fun Pinterest projects and just pure inspiration, I've been able to make some fun updates throughout the house. Some of these projects may not have turned out quite as I'd seen them online and some of them were given their own twist and made into their own. Either way, I always enjoy doing something new to the house and I thought I'd share it with each of you.

I'm only listing a few today, in hopes that I'll get more up here soon as well! So here's some of my favorite projects, which will probably show my obsession with free (or close to free) items.

Obsession #1: OLD WINDOWS

I've had some fun around the house with old windows, from the photos you see above to the use in my youngest son's Cowboy Themed Bedroom (which I blogged about here). The bottom photo was one of my favorites. We had poles separating the small opening from our kitchen to our dining room. My handy-man husband helped me to cut them out and then hang the window for a more primitive look. The kids enjoy decorating the window for the different holidays throughout the year with window clings.

Obsession #2: OLD LADDERS

There are so many things you can do with an old only concern is I wonder how weird it will look if I get more than 20 around the house, because my obsessions seems like it's beginning to spiral out of control. It all began with the ladder in the first photo where we hung it from the ceiling over our fireplace with lights draped in and out. After that I decided that just one wasn't enough and have since added the one to the hallway (where I'll be adding more pictures to the inside). I've got another one waiting in the garage for my next project and still find myself scoping for an old ladder every chance I get.

I'm a Blessings Unlimited Consultant!

WOW! It's so hard to believe all of the time that has gone by since my last post! As many of you may remember, I decided to take a break back in September from all of the meal planning on the blog and really focus on family. At the time, I had the greatest intentions of blogging all of the fun crafts, activities, and home decor we were doing. I've got so many photos ready to be uploaded and just waiting for the blog community to see what we've been up to. I'm looking forward to sharing them all with you (hopefully sooner, rather than later this time, haha)!
